Brian Mee, a retired Chemistry teacher, campaigned for Fairtrade Town status for Watford during 2004 and became Hon Chair of the Steering Group in June 2006 and applied to Fairtrade Foundation as Watford had by then achieved the Five Goals required to become a registered Fairtrade Town.

Caroline has been a member of the Steering Group since the launch of the Fair Trade Town campaign. She has spent most of that time dressed as a banana. Caroline used to work for Oxfam and this is where her passion for using Fairtrade products began.

Current Chair of Watford Fairtrade Steering Group Rabi Martins is a retired Business Consultant who has served as a Watford Councillor for 20 years

He has supported the group's activities in the town since it was granted Fairtrade Town status in 2007

Rabi says,

"Every time you purchase a Fairtrade branded item you do so knowing you are personally helping some-one somewhere have a better quality of life"

Fran Davies has been involved with Fairtrade in Watford for several years. She was born in Watford and have lived here her whole life. Fran works in a local special school and is a member of St Luke's church.

Sivakumar joined as a member of Watford Steering Group in 2022. Sivakumar is an IT Entrepreneur and is involved in assessing communication needs, designing social messages, social marketing strategies and evaluating campaigns of Agriculturals programs in India.
